Any thoughts on Vick flipping off his own fans....
Personally I expected it coming from him & or his brother....

It's nothing that can't be cleared up with an apology and a payment by him to the NFL.
It won't say much for Atlanta fans if they show up at the next home game though.

i didn't get to see it, but it would have been funnier if he had done the Pete Webber "crotch chop" to the fans.

At the end of the game... he flipped off fans... TWICE.

Did you watch the game? They bood nearly every drive by Atlanta. I'd have flipped them all the bird too.
You don't boo your own team when they're still in the game...if it's a blowout and they're still playing like crap, yeah...but they were down 8 when a lot of the boos were happening.

It's the pros. You feel like booing, you boo. You don't want to get booed, then try not losing four in a row.
Pro fans pay insanely high ticket prices and pay for insanely expensive stadiums. They're entitled to boo. I'm sure Vick will get over it sitting in his hot tub tonight. His paycheck Friday should cover it if that doesn't.

I saw parts of it... but the fans were pissed at Vicks performance not only from this season but every season except 1.... He has under-achieved more often than he has reached expectations...
At the Pro Level, how many years does a QB get before he gets benched?
Other QB's who have had just as many chances & have performed equally as bad, have been benched alot sooner.
The novelty of Vick has worn off & the Fans want "W"s & not just a name brand QB.

By your post Pum, you probably didn't watch it. They were booing the WR's. They dropped several passes, one by Roddy White was a sure TD. I don't care either way about the Falcons (I'm a Bills fan) -- I just find it hard to boo any team that's still in the game. I've never bood a team I root for and can honestly say I never will. I'll be disappointed (I've been there before), but you take your lumps and move on to the next game.

Like I said.. I saw parts of it... It was sloppy & being a Cowboys fan, I really could care less...
But if they weren't booing him, then why the hell was he flipping off his own fans?

It's about to get worse for him, because two QBs taken this year are about to start coming along. Leinart and Young both have had decent and bad games but came alive today and with a hell of a lot less talent around them.
But both of those guys also showed an ability to put a team on their backs and get them over the hump during college and Vick never did. He'll be just like a Manning brother when it's all said and done. Only not with as good numbers.

I can get that attitude for college. But for the pros? Sorry.
There's too much green down there for me to worry about anyone's feelings.

I would not be surprised if ATL picked up a QB in this years draft.... Not a big name, but someone to groom "just in case" ;)

Booing is part of the NFL. When you get paid millions to play, getting booed is part of the deal.

if getting booed is part of the deal and is acceptable, then he shouldn't have to pay a fine or apologize if he chooses to express his feelings by holding up a finger.

The difference, and it's a big one, is that he is being paid, while the fans are paying.

did he flip-off Falcon fans or one of the MANY Saint fans that were there?
