Does this win, help out this site in Recruiting new posters?

Obviously they would be possible "fairweather Ags", but still would pose the possibility of grooming them into die hards...

Obviously most Aggie sites could get a boost in memberships... but I think this win while HUGE for the Aggies, could trickle down & help sites like this one....

JMO.

I think a win over Texas de-cruited Boozin. I doubt we see him for a while.

Well, Vly has been recruiting hard. He even called me last week and asked if I wanted to play for Aggiefans.

I was like, "Dude, you called me a year ago." and he said, "Crap! Sorry, I got too many Wades on my list. Sorry about that."

For a so-called "True Aggie" you would think he would be strong enough to come back & eat crow, & back this coach who has done something, that only happened 8 other times at Darryl K....

I came for the added playing time, and he gave me the phone numbers of some wealthy boosters.

No way. I know his type and no way he comes back and says he was even close to wrong. He would rather never come back or come back with a new user name then do that.

If he does come back with a new user name I'm pretty sure I would be able to tell.

The funny thing about Booz is after the OU game he sent me a PM & said a win over tu wouldn't save Fran's job & that Fran was out this season... He said he knew people in high places & said they were taking a collection to get him out.... I just laughed....

Who in their F'n mind would fire a coach who just beat tu & is 9-3 with a chance at going 10-3.... a record which would be 1 win shy of the 1998 season... a 10-3 record which would be the best A&M record since 1994....

Fran was not in danger of losing his job. I was, however, worried about him telling us to take the job and stuff it up our thankless arses and who could have blamed him?

He's pretty tough to have put up with the crap we all know he's had thrown at him. I believe more than a few apologies are in order and I hope he gets them.

ok yes some of us should be sorry now, but he definitely deserved some of the criticism

I'd like for GregH to start a thread and apologize for his "Can Fran" shirt he's been sporting the last 2 weeks. I hope he feels like a giant ass.

Fran deserved all the crap he got. His decision-making is directly responsible for the OU and NU losses.

That being said, he learned his lesson and did what we all wanted him to do: run the football. It works. If he sticks with it, he might become a good coach for us.

You do of course realize that on tu's 1st drive, Mack called a play on 4th & 1 in the same fashion that many on here have bashed Fran for not calling....

Last I Checked, that call didn't work out for Mack... That same Mack who everyone compared Fran to... that same Mack that Fran just beat down....

It's all hind-sight, with people who want to be upset.... ON that 3rd & 3 that McGee scored on in the 4th, you do realize that Lane was not in the game... I wonder how many of you would have been pissed at Fran for not calling a run up the gut with Lane had McGee not scored or gotten the 1st down?

It's all about the personnel you have. Henry Melton is not comparable to Jorvorskie Lane. Period.

Loftin you've got such a hard on for Lane that you couldn't be persuaded any other way. Did you ever think (like McGee said) that we were in a position to win those OU/NU games because of Coach Fran and his playcalling, etc?

It's amazing that the guy on the sideline is directly responsible for the loss when I can point out 5-10 plays in each game where if we execute or do something a little differently, we win.

I was watching that play today.... He does run soft, but on that play Harrington deserves as much credit as Dodge does....

Harrington sliced between the RT & TE on that play & met the FB head on 2 to 3 yds behind the lind of scrimmage forcing Melton to change directions & force him outside more than he wanted to...

Dodge did a good job of avoiding the TE's weak attempt at a block & Dodge, with Melton being forced farther out by Harrington, was given enough time to meet Melton in the hole & shut him down....

I just kept wondering why Melton kicked it out & then when I saw it again... I wasn't surprised to see Harrignton in the back field... if that FB was there to make the block, Harrington would have stuffed Melton 5 yds behind the line of scrimmage....

Great play!!!!
