They had to borrow money through strange means

The state -- through the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District which oversees the operation of the Superdome -- will borrow the cash through the sale of a "revenue anticipation note," which assumes that money generated down the line will cover the repayment of the loan.
That doesn't sound like a good investment to me.

Oh its terrible, but the state can only finance one winning football team at a time.

The people in New Orleans complain that they are leaving, but they dont want to support the team by going to the games. I know they suck but if its your team go the the games. More people go the the arena football games.

i think the problem with New Orleans is that most of the people down there are fair weather fans.

Probably the only professional team I can think of that isn't made mostly of fair weather fans are The Dallas Cowboys, they always have a crowd and when they start winning again man its going to be greatness. I'm sure there are other teams but I really couldn't think of any.

Ya I wasn't thinking about baseball that hard. Even though I want to call Yankee fans fair weather fans after thinking about it most of them aren't

Huh? We haven't had a consistent winner on the football team for 30 years yet almost ALWAYS sell out.
IMO, the least fair-weather fans in the NFL.
