His grandma is from Robstown! Go Robstown CottonPickers, ha ha! Apparently the boy can golf really well too. Don't feel bad Pflug, I had no idea. His granddad or "Lito" is from Coahuila! No THAT is Mexican! I love how his grandpa told him no to forget who he is or where they came from! :gig:

They also throw in a Tony Roma's comparison every now & then...

Mexican-American. I've been very impressed with the kid, he plays the game like he is in junior high. It seems he loves to play. He doesn't get to high or to low.

Pum, it's the spaniard blood:D My mom is like that, really light complexed with hazel eyes. I didn't get those genes, I look like Papi, dark hair, dark eyes, good permanent tan, like you tipico mexicano!:laugh: I guess Romo takes after Chi Chi Rodriguez in his golf game.

Hey, I don't care what he is, as long as he leads my 'Boys to the promise land! But I did think he was Italian, then I saw that piece on his parents (ESPN Monday Night Game) and said.. "Antonio Ramiro Romo?? He's got some Mexican somewhere down the line!"

Nice info, I like his moxie. Went to the game Sunday and he was the first guy out the tunnel running to midfield. Something about him... hope it works out for him.

Dude is 26 & just enjoying his shot..... His role model is Tom Brady (not much older) and he wants to be a leader like Tom.... if he can be close to what Tom is, I will be happy!

I'm a big fan of Romo. The guy is having fun, and performing. I keep waiting to see how he reacts to having a bad game, but he hasn't had one yet! :) He didn't start off well yesterday, though, and it was good to see him bounce back. 10-11 in the second half is pretty damn impressive!
