Aggies to play in Holiday Bowl

The Houston Chronicle is saying that the Aggies will be bowling in San Diego in the Holiday Bowl. The opponent, Cal Golden Bears. Looks like we could possibly go 8-5:sad: . If That happens, there needs to be a major shake up.


However I have this feeling that the sips may be in for a shocker. Jackie Sherrill beat t.u. for the fires time in 1984 in Austin. Could history be repeating itself?

Also Remember the last time we played in the Holiday bowl. BYU showed us no respect, and the Wrecking Crew was born.

Some of us on this website were there at the Holiday Bowl in 1991. Prior to the game, the newspaper headlines were "A&M had no business being in the same bowl game as BYU." due to the fact that BYU was ranked 5th, and A&M, 15th.

Before the game, the BYU fans started chanting "B.Y.U....B.Y.U...", but as soon as the Aggie Band started the War Hymn, the BYU fans were never to be heard from again.

The Bucky Richardson led A&M team crushed BYU and the Wreckin' Crew broke both of Ty Detmer's shoulders....

The newspaper headline after the game was also "A&M had no business being in the same bowl game as BYU."

I don't see their Defense stopping us... how our DB's handle their WR's would be the key.

The only teams we have beat easy have been Citadel and Lousianna teams. I don't see us beating any team easy; however, Cal would be a good one to actually win period.
