Very interesting. And I can see Miami requesting permission to talk to Spurrier.

Wow. That....... is dangerous. I thank I had a thread conversation today about this very same subject saying how The U will get a badass coach/staff and turn sh*t around pretty darn fast.

I was hoping they'd take Mike Leach so that Tech could suck again.

Man that sucks for South Carolina. Talk about going back to square one. That school is just never going to get it done.

Spurrier WILL be able to win the ACC next year with Miami. He'll have a good defense and he won't let the offense suck.

I wonder where that will put the Cokster. Someone will pick him up.

What is the over/under that there will be posters here that would want to replace Fran with Coker.

I was actually thinking we could get Spurrier. Coker is not what A&M needs.

If true, look for next years game vs. Miami to make some big headlines

he'd be a terrible fit...BTW...he said Miami should be going after Schiano...not a bad hire there...

He's apparently said he's not interested.

Whoever Miami picks up.... Fran will be compared to that coach religiously week in & week out next season.

Schiano used to coach at Miami, so he will be a strong candidate. Also look for both Stoops brothers to get a call.

Stoops at Miami...that'd be nasty! Would he go? Is Miami really a BIGGER program that OU?

Miami's facilities are horrible..... Whoever coaches there could be in for a tough time...

Honestly I could see their D-Coordinator taking the job... He was rumored as a candidate for other teams last year & could fit in nicely... The defense wouldn't change, only the offense depending on who he brought in.

I don't think Bob would go, but Mike Stoops would jump from Arizona if given the opportunity. Bob is going to be coaching the Cowboys after Parcells retires.

While I hate Stoops the Sooner, I wouldn't mind Stoops the Cowboy.

Will this begin a tradition of former Sooner coaches w/ national championships under the belts becoming Cowboys coaches? :o

No...... I think Stoops has a better chance of winning a MNC where he is then Miami. He has that thing rolling right now, not to mention the facilities and "backing" that he won't get at Miami. He'll go to the NFL before another College team.

I think the wise move is for Spurrier to stay at South Carolina but I can see him going to Miami. Just for the fact that he is more comfortable in Florida. He needs beaches and golf courses.
