What kind of camera is it man?

Is your lens white? I think I saw you at the game last night?

meee too....I just need to learn to use it. All of the pics I took last night at the soccer game were very blurry because they were dark action shots. So today I had to learn to fix the shutter speed.

i got my stuff from www.keh.com ....good quality used stuff.

I bought a lens labeled as "bargain" which is supposed to be the lowest level of quality and it arrived in what looked like nearly brand new condition. I was very happy with my purchase

That is a cool website. Do you know alot about cameras? I want to buy my wife a nice Digital SLR for Christmas, but don't know that much about them. What should I be looking for? I don't really want to spend anymore than $800. PM me if you don't want to post it on here.

It really depends on what you're looking for. It'll be tough not to spend more than $800 because you could easily spend that much on just one lens. I would suggest going to a camera store and trying some of the digital slr's out. I have a few friends that have the camera i bought so I knew what I was getting into, but you may/may not like the look and feel of one camera over another. Some people swear by canons, some don't. For your price range, I think a Canon Rebel would be a good starting point. Let me know if you have anymore questions

Thanks Holis. I'm looking to get her started with a basic 8MP digital SLR. I like the canon rebel so far. I don't plan on buying any fancy lenses just yet. I think basic one that comes with the kit will be good for starters. I've seen that one for around $800 in stores and online for as low as $600.

be sure that you buy from a reputable dealer if you buy online....lots of scams out there. If it's too good to be true, it definately is.
