Is there any way we could play head to head games in the Arcade? Two player games. I would love to play you guys chess! We could have our Aggiefans.com chess ratings!

this arcade doesnt support multiplayer yet.... the old one we used actually does multiplayer but when they added that feature they made it a pay program and we didnt want to pay.

how much was it going to cost? tell our this arcade to support multiplayer

actually i take it back.... they were going to charge but it looks like they arent now. dont know if the new system is worse or not though.

you have to register your arcade on their site and it allows them to get info about our arcade (the stats) but also allows them to mark games "illegal" if the author doesnt approve of the game (and they would not be allowed to play on our arcade). Most games will not support the multiplayer aspect (as each game has to be specially coded for multiplayer support) but this arcade will probably support it more and more and i would not expect the other one to support it anytime soon (im guessing atleast years away).

so the one we have right now is most likely to get it?

eventually... but its likely years away. and after reading more it doesnt look like our old one really supports multiplayer yet (it does but there arent any actual multiplayer games for it yet)

you talking real multiplayer games (and not arcade ones)? if so then xbox live would probably be the best way to get that going sicne we could just post gamertags and play that way.

I've always liked computer games, used to be easier to do multiplayer on the computer

it used to is the key ;) xbox live is much easier since its one gamertag that works on all games for the xbox. i know a few people here have xbox's (and most even have the new 360 which is probably the one you would want to get as all the new games come out for it). I know most sites that do something similar post a thread with one game and one day/time and everybody joins into one private game. It works pretty well.

Like PGR3 @ 12/21/06 - 7:00 PM

(then with live you can see your friends list and somebody makes the game and starts inviting people)
