Just wanted to post this, I read it and could not believe what I was reading.

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=2662339

Wow. Just Wow. Is there any way we can get this guy into jail?

Yeah, I saw the promo for this on Fox last night. I had no idea that he was writing a book like that. I really don't want to watch the interview, but I don't see any way that I will be able to not watch it.

That is just messed up. We all knew that he did it anyway, but now he is basically admitting to it.

Cali or any lawyers out there....what if O.J. came out now and actually admitted to killing them. Since he was already found not guilty, could he be retried or does the law prevent him from being tried for the same crime twice?

Too bad there's not a crime against mega-stupidity. He would have to be the all time, highest level offender........and yet, he's getting PAID to tell the world how he did it. Only in America, folks!

Saw that this morning as well, and I thought the same thing, this guy is a freaking stupid idiot! I also could not be believe what I was reading. I think I'm going to pass on watching it! Maybe you all can tell me what his secret is to shrinking gloves!

Abiline, I'm sorry I hadn't seen any of your posts, so welcome to the board:gig: Always cool to have a new voice in the crowd. Watch out for the dudes and dudettes in the arcade, they are competitive.

If I remember correctly after his trial they said he can never be tried for the murders of Nicole and Ron again.

He may not be able to be tried by the American legal system, but there is a system that is far older and much quicker. That is the trial and punishment by an angry father......I hope God provides the father a whole lotta patience.

I hope God provides the father a whole lotta patience.

If he does, then that father would have more patience than I have.

Yeah, as sick and disgusting as we think this is, how do you think the families of the victims feel this morning? If I were Nicole's father right now, I'd be sighting in my rifle.

Double Jeopardy, he's off the hook. I don't know why he even even holds on to the "hypothetical" crap.

It's all about apperances.

I am not an Attorney, but he cannot be placed in double jeopardy...bill of rights? you all did take that at a&m? right?;)

That is where the prosecution F-ed up (well, one of the many things they F-ed up). If they would've only tried him for one of the murders they could still come back & try him for the other one if more evidence ever came out. Of course, if that was the case, then the book wouldn't be written in the first place.

He's a putz.

If there were a way to create a federal crime out of this, he could be tried by the feds...but here there's no basis for any federal jurisdiction that I'm aware of (states and feds are two different sovereigns so there's no double jeopardy issue).

He's off scott-free.

I suppose there's a theoretical possibility he could be tried for perjury (though I can't remember at this point if he's ever testified and I don't know what the SOL is) if he admitted to lying.

But that seems unlikely.

He never testified!

I thought he testified in the civil trial.

I thought he testified in the civil trial.

That very well could be Cali. I don't remember ever seeing the civil trial, so I don't know. I just know he didn't testify in the criminal trial.

The more I think about it, the more certain I am he must have. Since he'd already been acquitted his 5th amendment rights wouldn't have been an issue (I don't think, at least).

And I've got to believe the Goldmans would have called him.

The long and short of it is the same, though--he got away with murder. And now he's going to put it in everyone's faces.

macduff93

Can the Goldman's not sue him for profiting from their son's murder?

It is utterly disgusting and inhumane that the families of these victims have to be subjected this despicable recounting as if it were some theoretical re-enactment. He has to be the biggest, stinkiest pile of ****e that ever fell on a football field. USC must be so proud.

Its good that it has been cancelled, but OJ still got the majority of the money that he was going to be payed. So, he still came out okay.
