The option is a nice play, but I'd like to run it less than 80%(or so) of our offensive snaps. I've said all season that our offense is less productive when lined up in a shotgun formation, but I could count on my fingers how many plays we ran with McGee under center.

3rd and goal at the 2, every one in the stadium knows what play we are going to call. However, you are too smart for them! God, what an idiot. You should give Lane Train 2 chances to get 2 yards straight up the middle. 99% of the time, that will work. If OU happens to stops it, they deserve the win, because they would be that damn good. I read on another thread somewhere that Jorvorskie was born for that situation, and I couldn't agree more. If we aren't going to put the game on his shoulders in that situation, why did we even recruit him? That is what he does, and that is what would have won the game. I saw that J-Train had choice words for you after that. I don't know what he said, but I support him 100%.

We still, after all of your mistakes, had a chance at the end. We lose on an illegal participation penalty? Are you kidding me? There were 3 timeouts and an official review in between the 3rd and 4th down plays. Are you telling me that in that 5-10 minutes(seemed like 30), you couldn't make sure that everyone knew what personnel were supposed to be on the field?

The bottom line is that our players left everything on the field and should have won that game. You cheated our players out of their hard-earned victory. You cheated the 85K+ fans out of what should have been a big win for our program. You not only choked, but you choked on the 7:00 ABC game. Way to humiliate us on a national stage *******, that really set us back.

I was against keeping you this year. When the season started, I shut my mouth and cheered for my team. Well, now the silence has to end. Beat Texas or get the **** out of here!

Lets talk about why we lost that game. We lost because the defense couldn't stop a no name running back for the entire first quarter & half of the second quarter. We lost because they gave Paul Thompson a TD when he didn't get in. We lost because our QB was unable to recognize an open receiver. We lost because our O-line couldn't block anybody for a half of football. We lost because we couldn't get a stop when we needed it. Thats why we lost the freaking game. wow...I couldn't disagree more...where do I start...
1) This was more on the players than the coaches. McGee was off.
2) We lost the game on more than the last play...perhaps the 2nd down when we let them rip off 10 yards? But the illegal participation has nothing to do w/ it...they got the 1st down anyways (twice).
3) I hate to see you so upset @ Fran about this one...but IMO, the play calling wasn't that bad tonight. If "everyone" knew J-train would get the ball @ the goal line, why is it a bad call to do something different? As Dustin has said, Joey Thomas was wide open...McGee didn't pull the trigger, but drifted 15-20 yards back making the throw impossible.

I actually did support going for it there, even after it failed. Maybe it is YOU who are ignorant. I have always been consistent in my opinions. You have been consistent in "holding the rope."

the 4th down play in the 4th quarter. Honestly, I would have gone for it in that situation, too. Jorvorskie had consistently gotten what we needed all night. I was sure that he'd convert. Also, as bad as the defense had been playing, I wouldn't have wanted to put the outcome of the game in their hands. Luckily, they came through when we needed them most.

I and the wife have our Can Fran shirts on today, but that's just because we are freaking PISSED!!!!! Tomorrow is another day, I'm an Aggie to the end. People have the RIGHT to be pissed after that piss-poor play calling performance. My wife asked me this morning, "If we would have won by 2 (which would've been the score if we got another FG) would you still be pissed?" I told her that I would still be upset because of the spineless playing, but happy with a W. A loss is a loss and a win is a win.

Fran has already owned up to the mistakes for yesterday, now lets just hope he means it by letting the dogs loose on NE a$$.

Again, I'm no 2%-er. Everyone knew I thought Fran should have been fired on T+2 last year. I shut up and cheered for my team when the season started. Now that my team is playing to win but coached to lose, the silence has to be broken.
