I will have to agree with this to a point. The jealous people in Austin think that the Spurs are their team. everyone and their dog from austin is automaticly a Spurs fan. It really gets on my nearves. Austin has a complex that they dont get any pro teams, and everyone thinks they deserve one.

I'm From the Valley & have been a Spurs fan since 89.... In the Valley your either a Rocket or a Spurs fan... When the Rockets had them chips, quite a few people felt the Rockets were the sips of the NBA. WHich is why I went with San Antonio..... I wanted to be there during the hard times & the feed everyone Crow when they were finally on top...

Nope, I think that goes to Jerry Jones. Like Cuban or not, you have to appreciate the fact that he's a fan 1st. Not that it's not a business for him, because it clearly is. But he has fun with it and is passionate about it. That will obviously make people not agree with him or like him.

The spurs fans and team seem a lot like ags to me. The fans are great people and very hospitable. The team is consistently praised for their work in the community and for just being great all around guys.

You lost all credibility when you said that there are a billion spurs fans. Outside of San Antonio, not many people give a rats ass about the Spurs. While they are a good, successful franchise, they are pretty boring to root for and watch play.

Jim Rome said it best a couple years ago..."The San Antonio Spurs are NBA Champions and noone outside San Antonio gives a damn!"

And mark cuban is arguably the best owner in the NBA. What he did with the Mavericks franchise is phenomenal and nobody has ever compared to him when it comes to making nothing into a franchise.
