College Station is buzzing, this week with the news that ESPN's College GameDay will be in town for the ou game this weekend. My fiancee' was asking how many times College GameDay has been to A&M to cover one of our games. So I looked it up...

The only time GameDay was in town was November 11, 2000 against #1 ou. We were ranked 23rd and came pretty close to knocking off the eventual national champions. Down by four points, the Aggies took the ball down to the ou 4 yard line, but could not score the touchdown for the win.

Kirk Herbstreet was quoted saying, "There are 85,000 people standing the entire game, waving their 12th Man towels -- it's unreal. Kyle Field and the 12th Man lived up to, and exceeded every expectation we had for them. Last Saturday in Aggieland provided, without a doubt, one of the most special memories I'll ever have from College Gameday".

Two years later we went up against #1 oklahoma again. Reggie came off the bench to lead the Ags to victory and the huge upset.

College Gameday also covered a game back in 1994 between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Texas Aggies. The Aggies lost that game as well.

So we're 0-2 with Gameday at our games looking to improve on our record. I think we have a great shot at doing so.

I just hope we can get Kyle full and make it another memorable experience for the Gameday crew because all that does is create good publicity for A&M, and also create a memorable experience that the sooners would like to forget as soon as possible after we BEAT THE HELL OUTTA ou!

I'm pretty sure that there's only a few seats left to be bought...and it's only Tuesday. It'll be full

That's good. It's always good to sell it out, but there will be people who have tickets that go deer hunting intsead of going to the game. But maybe they'll give their tickets to somebody that wants to go to the game.

Couldn't agree more. I hate that overpaid arrogant horse's ass.
I have never heard him said anything good about our program.

It made me feel good to hear the Ags in the background booing him during his halftime telecast.

I hate him as much as I hate losing to t.u.
