Okay, watching this video made me realize something. Usually, I'm too pumped up after these type of big wins, & I miss a lot of these little things. Anyway, question is, when did the yell leaders start leading the crowd in the War Hymn after the game. When I was in school, & even after that, I always remembered the fish in the corps mobbing the yell leaders as soon as the clock hit zero & all while the band & the crowd were singing the War Hymn. I just realized how much I miss that. Watching them take off their shoes, roll up their pants, and try to get the best jump possible as the clock was winding down.

I remember that too. Maybe they are trying to give the teams time to clear the field?

I miss that! And during the years I have seen some epic and brutal fish vs. yell leader tackles.
