I know the only way to change things is to WIN.... but geez I hate some of these stupid comments I keep reading...

http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=1144&CID=599337

Most to lose or gain: The hot seat Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=89) was on at the beginning of the season has turned into a throne – or at least an easy chair – because the Aggies are 7-1. He's getting praised again in College Station and the Aggies are in control of their destiny in the Big 12 championship race. However, all that will change on Saturday if the Aggies fall to Baylor. As a collective group, the Aggies don't want to acknowledge that the Bears have reached competitive balance with A&M under coach Guy Morriss (http://collegefootball.rivals.com/viewcoach.asp?Coach=99). Last year the Aggies needed overtime to subdue the Bears. Two years ago they were beaten in overtime in Waco.

Oklahoma State has played tu close twice.... does that make them Rivals all of a sudden? Seriously..... I know what Cali will say, but I don't care about our record last year.... Baylor to me is more of a PAIN IN THE BUTT instead of a Rival....

Also, while the heat is not as hot on Fran, I haven't seen any Praise for the guy... I have asked folks to chill, but even I haven't praised him..... I am using Rivals as an example, but I see crap like this everywhere...

I just get tired of reading crap like this.... I know, I know... don't read it or whatever... but I would like to read articles about A&M not read this crap...

Honestly, he hasn't really done anything yet this season. He still has to beat at least one of the teams in November. So far, we have won the games we were supposed to win. We can talk about him being on the hot seat or not after the tu game. I think that will really give us a gauge to how well the team performed against the teams where many have concluded we will lose this year.

osu has more than played tu close twice. they pretty much dominated tu for a majority of the game, twice, if i recall correctly. fortunately for tu, they had vincent young to bring their team back.

I don't think that there as much praise for Fran as their is recognition of a salty team. Now if the team had been bad, it would have fallen squarely on Fran. If it continues to do well, it should also be accredited to Fran.

I know he hasn't & that is why I wonder why a writer would assume he is off the hot seat....

Agreed. Unfortunately, the head coach and the QB either get all the praise or all the blame.

case in point...Dallas.

QB is an issue in big-D, but not near as big of an issue as their O-line...yet, it is the leaders of the team that get the heat...it's just the way it is...

I swear to God, I don't write for any magazine. I've pretty much retired from my angry ways.

However, if we lose the last 4 games or go 1-4, I may have a relapse.:wow:

The heat is off for now, but if he loses his last three games, it will be back on in a hurry.

With all the HYPE bu is getting you would think they were leading the BIG 12 & had been for quite a while.....

Did Vandy get this type of hype before or hell even after they beat Georgia? Seriously doubt it.... as a matter of fact... they didn't...
