View Full Version : Boycott CNN!!!

Recently CNN aired a segment regarding a islamic facist terrorist sniper stalking and killing an American soldier. This is something that in my opinion is tatamount to treason, and those responsible for finding the story, producing it, and airing it should be arrested, tried for treason, and quite frankly put infront of a firing squad. The Clinton News Network has no problem showing a terrorist killing one of our boys, yet are enraged when we parade around terrorist with underwear on their heads, or when an American soldier is taped killing an allegedly wounded insurgent when they had been know to booby trap themselves to kill our soldiers. There is a fine line between freedom of press and speech, especially when it is not done fairly.

BOYCOTT CNN!!

Can't this also be used to garner sympathy for the war and people who support what we're doing.

Sure, it's most likely not, but if you see that's what we're trying to stop, people might support the effort?

I'm not siding with CNN by any means, but do we actually know who filmed the video? Was CNN just given this video to show or did they actually send a CNN cameraman to do the shooting? That makes big difference to me. If the video was bought, then CNN just beat another network to the punch. Had they not aired it, Fox, ABC, or some other network would have.

Ok folks, WE ARE AT WAR!!! How would you feel if the soldier had been a fellow Aggie? CNN is very anti Bush, Anti American, and Anti War. CNN used one of their muslim contract workers to get this story, telling them they (CNN) were sympathetic to the insurgent cause.

From what i've been reading, all the other networks are pretty disgusted with what CNN did.

I was in no way siding with CNN. It would make no difference to me if the soldier was an Aggie, Longhorn, Red Raider, etc. When a soldier dies, it sucks. All media is anti-war, anti-american, and anti-bush, not just CNN.

theres no reason why any news program should someone in the act of killing or "hunting" down anyone else... its just wrong, and definitely doesnt help the war effort... does that really make someone want to join the army, navy, etc... not really if they know thats going to happen... its just going to far... even if you want to stop the war... that was someones son, daughter, brother, sister, wife, husband, dad, mom... it goes on... its just crossing the line, no matter what you believe

It doesn't have to be an Aggie, just an American. I didn't see it, but there are too many Western journalists that are too cozy w/ the Muslims for the sake of a good story.

MSNBC is the way to go, though if yall wanna have that debate.:)

Isn't MSNBC home of Keith Olberman....the most anti-Bush guy out there. I can't even stand to listen to the Dan Patrick Show on ESPNRadio when that guy is on there. Liberal POS!

MSNBC is the best sans Olberman. Don't let one guy not make you watch it

MSNBC is also the best internet website for news. If it takes three pages to explain it, they will write three pages.

CNBC or Bloomberg for business news on TV

Foxnews and or CNN for Headline type stories

Chris Matthews also sucks. Let's not forget that the NBC news department has actually been caught just flat out making news up (the gasoline tank fiasco).

Except they are partnered with Newsweek, home to one of the most disengenous bastards out there, Johnathan Alter.

Cali, who would you say is the best in those two catergories?

I agree on Newsweek sucking ass. But most of the website isn't Newsweek.

Either way CNBC, History, and Discovery take up most of my time (excluding sports channels)

As far as MSNBC.com and CNN.com go, most of the actual news reporting is the same--AP and Reuters dispatches. It's just a matter of whichever you think is prettier.

On TV I find them more or less indistinguishable. I really, really loathe Chris Matthews. He's a complete airhead masquerading as a DC heavyweight. Olberman strikes me as being literally insane. Beyond Air America and into Pacifica Radio insane.

To be honest, I just don't watch much cable news at all.

I love Glenn Beck. His radio show is probably the best on the air. Unfortunately in Houston, they moved him to 10pm. Ken Charles the program director at KPRC talk radio doesn't like him. Ken Charles is a total jackass.

do you listen to Rick Savage (I think that's his name). My brother lives in Spring & listens to him a lot.

Micheal Savage, yeah sometimes. He makes Rush Limbaugh look like a limp wristed liberal. He's very emotional, and occasionally his rage gets a bit tiresome.
