Where would we be if we were 8-0 right now?
Just want to get some views on this.

I assume you're talking about ranking? I would say a win over Tceh & we would be ranked...w/ the win over Mo...we would probably be around 18-19. Probably 15th at best right now.
...which begs a different question...IF we were to go undefeated...would we have gotten a shot @ the NC? I know it is all speculation, but still fun to think about.

Nope. No shot at the NC. With the way the BCS is set up it's next to impossible to come from unranked to #1 or #2 in a season. Even an undefeated one.
Now with an undefeated season the Big 12 champ automatically gets a BCS bowl bid. If we win that then next year we would have a shot at the NC. Which is what makes this year exciting. Even with one loss we still can win the Big 12 play in a BCS bowl and with a win we set ourselves up for a good run next year.
If we would have beaten tceh I could agree that we would be around 15 or so.

Looking at Rutgers record, and the fact that it looks like their strength of schedule is better than ours right now, I'd think maybe 17th.

Agreeance. We're in a better conference. We wouldn't be considered a Boise State.

If we went undefeated, we would be in the national championship. Our resume would have us beating 4 or 5 ranked teams in the regular season and another one in the conference championship game.

This kind of goes along with the boise st. I think maybe 14-15.

I won the National Championship in NCAA07, it HAS to be possible right? I also played Michigan State...

I won the NC in NCAA 07 also, and i didnt change our schedule.

that reminds me...I need to play again, it's been forever.
Just sucks that the BCS is so stacked against teams w/o a pre-season ranking...
Just further proves that pre-season rankings are crap! The only purpose is to sell magazines.

yeah, genius of them to release before the season starts, b/c once it begins, everyone watches the real thing...unless you're so cool that you play the game along w/ the season to "game-plan"...

Seeing how the Top Teams in the country really haven't done much to warrant them dropping into the bottom 1/2 of the Top 25... I would see about #15......
Simpley because of the way the BCS is set up...
But if we ran the table and beat a Top 10 tu team.... I don't know... an undefeated Big 12 team would have a good gripe about a shot.....

I tried that last year. I had to have two seasons set up so i could stay sane for the reswt of the week though. I have also tried playing most of the "good" games in a week to get a true outcome. It would be great to see someone play out a season exactly the way it unfolds, at least as far as W and L go. then see how close it is to real life.

i agree... if any of the top 5 teams right now stay undefeated, there would be no way to pass them over... ohio st or michigan will lose when they play each other, and louisville or w. va will lose when they play, and then tehres always the guys from USC... but we would definitely would be in a BCS bowl game... and whose to say that cant still happen?
