I think it is safe to say that we can credit all the W's this year to Fran not wanting to be caught by Mack in the W column. ;)

Its crazy what Bowden and Paterno have done when you look at how far they are ahead of those other great coaches on the list.

Yeah but Joe Paterno has been coaching at Penn State since 1950. I bet if any of those guys coaches for 56 straight years they could rack up some numbers like that.

Ok, I've just taken a tranquilizer and will attempt to respond to this. (deep slow happy thoughts breath) Oh I can't, I just can't . I'm gonna go out side and play in traffic.

I will have to agree with you somewhat on this one, RC went 123-47-2 at A&M. He would be up there now if he stayed.

Personally... and this is JMO.... I know it would never have happened... but if Fran took over as Offensive Coordinator under RC & had been given the oppotunity to Recruit Offensive Players & RC took care of the Defense I honestly think that we would have a dominant team right now.
Simply because for all of Fran's faults he has produced a very good Offense & RC was the master of Defense.... A&M would be running the show in the Big 12 right now....
JMO...

I wish they'd of brought back Bob Davie, the architect of the Wrecking Crew.

That would have been very interesting to see, but how good was the defense in RC's last few years?

Just imagine how many wins Fran would have if he didn't have to replace walk-ons starting at MLB, DB, O-line, etc. Its the same old crap on a different thread. No need to rehash this crap all over again.

My only other comment on this thread....if Bob Davie is so freakin' good, then why will noone hire him?

I know, just kidding about how ESPN seems to be the pinnacle of every fired coach's career.

Does that mean R.C. was a second tier commentator since he was only on FSW?

I am sorry Mark May use to sound some what smart, but now he just doesn't cut it.... he tries to throw in a little bit of what Corso does & talks about Football from a gimmicky stand point...

L.Holtz seems like is he drunk as heck 90% of the time he is on the air. that and the fact that he can't talk clearly anyhow makes him horrible in my book.

It's not like he's marriage material, but I could find a few uses for him for a few hours.;) He's uber good looking and incredibly talented which is completely separate from his politics.
