I would love to have seen his facial expressions when reacting to some of the stupid questions he was getting.

just got finished listening to Red.
He said @ the end...that they were a step behind & that was the first time this season that they felt like they started slow...

Surpised to hear that, would have thought that after some of the slow starts they have had this year, it would be ingrained in their memories...

i have seen the offense have some slow starts, but i haven't really noticed the D having any slow starts other than the game against tech. the D has actually kept us in the games that the O has started slowly.

Great... I listened to Tellus and McGee but I want to save the rest for tomorow since I got to work another shift. Between that and the Ol' Watering Hole I should make it through at least six hour.

It's a confident bunch. That is the main theme I'm getting. I want to wait until the Baylor game is over before I really start judging. My favorite Aggie team of all team was the 1998 team because of how much heart they had and how much they played above their ability and won a conference title. I think this team parallels them in many ways. It's the first Aggie team I have truly felt proud for in many years. But we'll see how they play against Baylor.

My favorite 'Tellus line...

The question was "Does McGee have a different look to him in the last 2 minutes of a game when you guys have to score a TD?"

His answer...."Nah, he's still ugly."

He claims that it's his sister who loves to watch "That's So Raven", yet he knows what time, channel and day it's on. :p

Tellus WAS pretty funny. The looks he gave some of the media throughout the press conference were classic. He came out in a hooded sweatshirt, and some of the media made fun of him as being the unibomber. It went downhill from there.

I did laugh when the media told Fran that Tellus called McGee "ugly". Fran laughed and said we might have a small incident at practice. Fran was in pretty good spirits.

You know, listening to Coach Fran talk to the team after the game last week made me think that he's sounding an awful lot like someone's who's beginning to bleed maroon. This team, his team, is making an Aggie of him, which is exactly what many of us have been waiting to see. :gig:

Interesting comment. That's not something I ever thought of. It would make sense that it would take some time for him to be completely emmersed in Aggie culture.

Yeah, in that video, I was really happy that Fran said it showed "Aggie Spirit" in the win over OSU. I think there is definately a "camera Fran" and a "coach Fran" if you get my drift. At least with this team, he seems to be really bonded with them and they respect him. Gig Em and BTHO outta the bears.

I have noticed the same thing...... These players during a winning season seem to be quicker to circle the wagons so to speak when questioned about their coach..... but last season I didn't see it as much... JMO....

You also have to look at it as these are HIS recruits, his boys. Last year, he still had a lot of R.C.s players, who might have been resistant to Fran's schemes. Look at some of the quotes from Reggie McNeal in the past few weeks. He finally admitted he was a bit upset about being put into the option O.

That is so freaking true. I've been so wrapped up in winning close games & watching the Xs & Os of it, that I just completely missed that. He is becoming an actual Aggie. :rep: good post, Mac.
