a strength coach was arrested for bringing student athletes over to his house & having them meet an agent.

wow. arrested. I didn't realize it is against the LAW...would think there are much more dangerous people out there...but then again, agents & lawyers are just devil-lite.
I wonder if the NCAA will come down on LSU.

prob not...b/c it seems to have been handled properly...if they didn't come down on OU...

If you read the article, it sounds like they are already in cover up mode. The athletes didn't know an agent would be there. No one else associated with the program knew an agent would be there. They are trying to make it look like this guy did all of this my himself.

I agree it looks suspicious..."hey guys, why don't you come over to my house after practice..." duh, sure coach...
...but you think the NCAA will act on this, when they didn't do anything w/ OU, which IMO was a much more obvious violation?
If you read the article, it sounds like they are already in cover up mode. The athletes didn't know an agent would be there. No one else associated with the program knew an agent would be there. They are trying to make it look like this guy did all of this my himself.
And no one will look too hard.

I thought that the OU thing was still under investigation...am i stupid to think that something will come out of it

The way the NCAA is, I doubt anything will come of it b/c of the schools that are involved. When was the last time you heard something about USC and the fact that Bush's family was living rent free and had all expense paid trips to see him play his out of town games???

Programs like LSU, Texas, OU, Miami, USC and Ohio State never have any kind of hammer laid down on them from the NCAA.

That is why it still amazes me what the NCAA did to us when Jackie cheated since we were a powerhouse then.
