I like the watch more than the ring. But I'll take both.

Reminds me of a story my Aggie friend Mason used to tell. The summer before his senior year he chanced to meet a elderly lady through his summer internship. Her husband, who was a Former Student, had recently passed away. Mason mentioned that he was a Aggie. The lady told him that she still had her husbands class ring. She told him that her husband would want another Aggie to have it and turned it over to him. Her husband was a World War II vet from the Pacific theater. He was also an officer. Mason used to say it was interesting to think that the Aggie ring he was wearing was the last thing that a lot of Japanese soliders saw.

I haven't talked to Mason in awhile. The last I talked to him though he did. He didn't wear it after he got his class ring but he did keep it safe.

You have to understand Mason to understand what a good choice that was. He is highly educated. An Electrical Enginner. Patent Lawyer. And die hard Aggie. He would routinely check out books on the history of A&M and was well versed in A&M tradition and lore.
