Wow, that is the highest I've seen us ranked. I don't know if their sports writers have any credibility, but #6 is freakin' high. (I just realized that I accidently posted this in the baseball and softball forum. It is supposed to be in basketball)

•7. Alabama (http://javascript<b></b>:Swapcopy('spt_collegetop25bball_2006',7);)

•10. Pittsburgh (http://javascript<b></b>:Swapcopy('spt_collegetop25bball_2006',10);)
Strengths: This program’s trademark is fierce defense. The Aggies were within a jump shot of knocking LSU out of the tournament last March because they made it so difficult for the Tigers to get a look.
Weaknesses: The Aggies were out-rebounded in seven of their last 11 games in 2005-06. They have to find some help inside for Joseph Jones, who averaged 6.5 boards per game.
Stars: Acie Law averaged 16 a game; Jones dropped in 15. They are the outside-inside combination every teams needs. The other star is Gillespie, whose teams play hard and together. Must see: A Jan. 6 game with Kansas State. The Aggies and Kansas are the class of the Big 12 and it will be interesting how title hopeful K-State and Bob Huggins are welcomed that first big week of the conference season. Must See II: Dec. 9 vs. UCLA, another tough defensive team.
