Once upon a time, I had a copy of the original 1938 broadcast of War of the Worlds, as it was performed on the radio. Taken in the context of the time, little wonder people freaked out.
I suspect that the special effects on the movie will be incredible.

Rotten Tomatoes is giving the movie crazy good reviews. It's at 100% right now although they all say first 100 minutes rocked and the last 10 sucked. Probably because they were still filming 3 weeks ago.

Tom Cruise is stupid. Supposedly he doesn't believe it is possible to have a chemical imbalace in ones brain... well I have an aunt who lives in an institution and I think they should meet. Sometimes people really are crazy, Tom! I guess he has lived a sheltered life. That or the scientology BS. Go figure.

Word....
Although she may be smoking hot I thought she a lifeless beyatch with no personality in Batman Begins. Hopefully she was just playing one.

Ebert gives it two of five stars. I bet it's a classic craptastic summer movie. Lots of action, and oh the alien might get me and little to no plot or character development.

With really hot girls, less talking is usually a good thing.

I saw it today. I won't say anything because I'm pretty sure most of you probably work on Wednesday afternoons (why I don't know) so most of you haven't seen it yet. So no spoilers right now.
Let's just say it's a serious kick ass movie that will scare the living crap out of you. It's awesome. CoolaidWade96 gives it two thumbs up.

I enjoyed it :) Wasn't sure untill the very end if the aliens or the humans would win, which is always good. I give it 8/10. :gig:

Alot of people didn't like the way it ended but I really liked it. It was somewhat anti-climatic but I think it made sense. And after such a hellride of a movie I think it is cool to end like that instead of some crazy hollywood Explosion type ending.

I'm glad, I don't think it would've been as good if I knew what was going to happen.

I saw War of the Worlds tonight...
My overall feeling was, 'eh'...
Kind of took off with the aliens and then after lots of action, it's like they just throw in an ending. And I sincerely wanted to punch Dakota Fanning in the face...her screaming was annoying.

If I were Tom Cruise in that movie, at the part where she started screaming "I WANT MOMMY!!! I WANT MOMMY!!!" I would have pushed her out of the car and said "then find her!"
