It's regionally televised. And Byrne takes some blame due to the ticket prices.

Well, he priced me out a few years ago. I can't speak for anyone else. It wasen't cool to open my mail and learn I have to double my contribution just to keep the same seats I had for going on six years.

$93 to go to 1 game is a little excessive for my pocketbook.

Slotback

For mine too. I am priced out. It is much easier to watch on tv or listen on the radio.

My problem is the price to travel. The hotels doudle their rates on game weekends and it gets to be too much.

The answer is simple

1. Quit Job
2. Move to College Station
3. Re-arrange life around aggie sports
4. Live off berries in the woods

That's funny. The red berries make you sing showtunes with the carebears though. Beware.

Yes, Moth. Thanks Fran.

Thanks for:
1) Having our team ready to play
2) Weathering the storm in the 1st half
3) The GREAT halftime adjustments
4) Bringing in Darnell & changing the defense to suit our needs
5) Calling a great game & getting us a much needed WIN!

isnt that a contradiction? you cant be "ready" to play and have to "weather the storm"..... And we were pretty lucky early in the game imo that we got the timely turnovers. To me this was another game we didnt come out completly ready to play but we were much better today in that aspect. Still cant let them go over the top like that on the second play (thankfully we got the fumble)

no. They were ready to play...
Call it luck, or call it us causing the turnovers...we got turnovers.
We KNEW they were going to come out hard & fast...they have all season. The coaching staff did a great job keeping the guys composed to "weather the storm" & not lose their heads w/ the quick strike offense. We settled in, played our game, & it payed off...

Just my opinion though...

On that particular play..I believe the saftey or whoever was covering that receiver just fell down. So I don't think it was coming out slow...just kinda bad luck.

PinetarAg
10-14-2006, 09:56 PM
Yeah I'm sure that was the safety's cover, I didn't see what happened why he got burned (slipping would be logical since he was sooooo wide open)....peterson never gave up on the play.

it reminded me of the Don Beebe play in the superbowl in the 90's when he knocked it out of Leon Letts hand as he show boated for a touchback too.....awesome play all heart

Don't laugh. I've considered going back to school. There is that crazy guy on TV who yells about having money for me to do it. :cheesy:

Losing to Tech who lost to Colorado isn't helping us. Hopefully people don't analyze that too much.

I was being a bit facetious. Finger only writes about us to spew hatred and there is NOTHING bad to say about the Ags tonight.

Of course, I'll have to steal my parents' sports section since I cancelled my subscription....I wasn't kidding about doing that because of their hatred of us.

With all the Top 25 teams losing today, there's room for us.

Top 25 teams that lost:
#2 Florida
#15 Iowa
#16 Georgia
#19 Missouri
#22 Virginia Tech

#20 Boise State still plays tomorrow

Expect Missouri, VT and possibly Georgia to drop from the Top 25. We should pick up more votes and can squeak in at #25.

 I drive 3 hours one way and after the game turn around and drive 3 hours back. I never missed a home game when I was a student and the only home games I missed after getting out was because I was In Iraq and Afgan. So nut up and make the trip reguardless.

Burnet, which way do you go to the game? I'm assuming you come up 190, then do you cut through Belton and go through the small towns like Cameron, etc....Or do you go up to Temple and go through Zabcikville?

Just curious...I live in Belton and found the Temple route is faster (and quicker)....And I've nutted up and made every game this year ;) (including Army) and will be going to Baylor as well.

I hope your wrong... Missouri went down, Georgia went down, & so did Iowa.... Georgia & Iowa lost to Vandy & Indiana.... they are gauranteed to drop out of the Top 25....

Missouri could drop out.... that leaves 3 vacant spots.......

If we get snubbed, that would be a huge hose job!!!!!!!!!!!!

I missed the game due to prior obligations but I can't get on people that can't afford the travel/tickets etc. or have kids and have obligations to said kids (sporting events, etc).

Next year will be the first for me with season tickets and I'm looking forward to catching everygame.
