Have you heard the story about how we became maroon by mistake in the red dye? It could be total bs, but I've heard it several times.

12thAg, I believe that is correct. The original colors were red and white. But a dye issue meant maroon jerseys. That is what I have heard. There is probaly a grain of truth to that.

If you look at the link for the picture it's from the Cushing Library. I don't think they are going to sell.
