That is just the bandwagon culture of miami.

they turn out in droves when the marlins go to 2 world series....but nothing the regular season even when they were winning. Hell even some of their playoff games were embarrassing.

That is why Miami cannot take a chance and keep Larry Coker. There is absolutely no good reason why a recruit would go to that school unless they are winning or regularly competing for national championships.

Miami is just like Houston. They are a commuter school in a huge city. Most students probably already have fulltime jobs. The bandwagon fans within the city will jump over to pro sports when times are rough(although the Dolphins suck pretty bad right now).

That being said, for a perrenial powerhouse to only get 29,000 for a home conference game is beyond pathetic. Aggie fans are pissed off when we only get 69,000 for a OOC game or only 79,000 for a conference game. 29,000 is sad.

I don't know why players go there in the first place. The school is in a ghetto, they have the worst facilities of any of the traditional "top programs" Even the city of Miami isn't that great compared to the west coast.

Why they compete regularly is beyond me. You would think they can only push being a nfl portal for so long since that has to be their only real recruiting edge.

The people we get to come out for Yell practice would out do anything Miami does...

Seriosly though... seeing that..... I can honestly see a "MAROON OUT" campain next season even though the game is in Miami..... if they have that kind of turn out, it could very well happen....

I don't know how they could afford to cheat if they are only selling 29,000 tickets.

When they were at the top of the Big East it wasn't all that hard......

One word--Schnellenberger. He convinced Florida recruits to stay home and built a winner. Everyone after him has just capitalized on that.

All that other stuff only becomes a problem if you start to suck. And they do now.

I had a friend who worked in Mami for awhile. Lets just say there is a lot of "entertainment" there. Kind of like 6th street in Austin.

I noticed that most of the upper deck was empty. Me and my roomate were talking about it.

All they do is take them to South Beach or another hottie hotspot and the recruits just drool. That is how we lost Eric Winston awhile back.

Maybe we could build an artificial beach to take prospective recruits to.
