saw this on one of the mu boards
Running back Marcus Woods (concussion) and linebacker Brock Christopher (hip pointer) were both injured against Texas Tech, but are expected to play Saturday. ... Cornerback Domonique Johnson will have surgery to repair a torn knee ligament today. ... Linebacker Van Alexander will play on some kicking teams this weekend. Alexander is listed as a backup weakside linebacker for Saturday. ... Missouri will spend the week of practice simulating the crowd noise of Kyle Field by pumping mock crowd noise through speakers during practice.
I always wondered if playing loud rock music or crowd noise in any way prepared teams to play in loud stadiums?

Nope.... I am sorry, but speakers, regardless of how loud they pump them, can be as loud as 80,000 plus when they have their hands on their knees & yelling the ever living hell out of themselves......

:D :D Ok.
But does it help or does it just disrupt and interfere with practice?

What they expect & what they will get are 2 different things.....
But personally, I have seen both a Pro & College team practice with speakers to "PREPARE" for crowd noise..... and I haven't seen it be all that benificial in practice.

i would just start dancing to the music... besides, the speakers arent surrounding them and constantly yelling and rocking the stands...
