Martellus Bennett, Texas A&M's prized two-sport recruit, has yet to decide if he will remain in the NBA Draft or play football and basketball at A&M.

Martellus' father, Michael Bennett, said Friday that his son might have a third NBA team workout in Los Angeles for the Clippers. Bennett, who averaged 23.2 points and 8.2 rebounds as a senior at Alief Taylor, has worked out for the Memphis Grizzlies and Seattle SuperSonics. Considered the top tight end prospect in the nation and the No. 1 overall football recruit in Texas, Bennett has until 5 p.m. Tuesday to withdraw from the June 28 NBA Draft.

If he attends A&M, his father said, Bennett eventually could choose to play one sport, whichever one appears to give him the best chance of turning pro.

"Martellus is very adamant about playing in the NBA, but he's also adamant [about being] in the NFL," Michael Bennett said.

I never knew he worked out for the Grizzlies and Sonics...

Ya he worked out for the teams. He needs to realize that if he plays at A&M he helps both his football and basketball draft positions. I think he could be a lot bigger if he would play football and then go to the NFL just because tight ends that are very good at basketball(T.Gonzales, A.Gates) really shine in the NFL. I'll support him which ever he chooses but will be extremely dissappointed he didn't at least give football a shot.
