I was on Hornfans.com the other day just to look around, and I realized that that site would be easier to read if it had a HornFans-to-English translator. Here are a few things I have figured out:

"Aggy" - This can apply to one Aggie or multiple Aggies. This word was supposedly a way to get back at us for calling them t.u., so nothing proves that us calling them a name is stupid like making an even dumber name for us.

"Gomers" - This is also an acceptable name for Aggies over there. Maybe calling a school with identical academic standards stupid makes them feel better about themselves.

"Sand Aggy" - This applies to anyone associated with Texas Tech. To say that Tech is worse than us is very disrespectful considering how much Texas hates us.

"Arkie" - This applies to University of Arkansas. They hate these guys worse than anyone. This used to be a bigtime rivalry and bad blood is still boiling.

"Okie" - This is short for Oklahoma. They also sometimes say "Mobile-homa," but they don't really have any good names to use on their psuedo-rival.

"Okie Lite" - Oklahoma State University.

"ATM" - Texas A&M University, when they are nice.

"eATMe" - Texas A&M University, when they aren't very nice.

"Baa means no" - This accompanies the many accusations over there that Aggies have sex with sheep. I have no idea where this came from. This is put into action at every A&M-Texas sporting event in Austin were you will inevitably see a Texas student dressed like a sheep (also with other students hovering around him giggling like he made that joke up himself). They have an obsession with sodomy and all sorts of weird sex over there so it shouldn't be very suprising that they'd want us to join.

"Regina" - They call Reggie McNeal by his mother's name as an insult. I guess that's fair since we called Chris Simms "Chrissy" though.

"Franochio" - Texas fans are in agreement with Bama fans that Coach Fran is "stupid, and a bad person." I think that they feel threatened that he has improved the team and will likely beat them this year.

"Pyle Field" - Yes, Kyle rhymes with "pile." Don't you think that's hilarious?

"Collie Station" - This name for College Station doesn't really bother me. I don't know if it pisses anyone else off though.

"CollieVille" - This is for when "Collie Station" requires too much typing.

"pooooor agggyyyyyy" - Old Horns say this to piss off old Ags, so younger Horns are trying to revive it.

"Milkmen" - This is what they call yell leaders. I guess they are jealous of tradition.

Those are the ones that I can come up with off the top of my head, if there are any others please share.

I never understood aggy since it doesn't make since and has really taken off. But maybe that's the whole genius of it.... Something that is small, doesn't make sence, and irritates the hell out of alot of Aggies.

Aggy doesn't really bother me either. I don't understand why some Ags get so pissed off by it. You can't expect your rival to not call you names.

The only one that gets to me is the references to sheep-humping. I think maybe it's because they are the school known for weird sex acts and then they try to slander us with the same filth. It really bothers me, and the fact that it bothers me bothers me.

The thing that bothers me about "aggy" is not the "-y" instead of an "-ie", but rather it's the way it is always used in a gramatically incorrect context(never the "aggys").
But if they want to sound stupid to the general public, I won't stop them.

Just as you aggy peeps refer to us as tu, we won't even try and stop you. We just consider the source and move on. Quit whinning and take your lumps like a man, remember what's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Wow! I just posted on Hornfans on an OSU vs Texas thread, just saying that Texas can't use last year's record/team as a barometer to how well this one will do (the same as comparing last year's OSU team). They were trying to compare VY's performance against Michigan with OSU's performance against Michigan.

Somebody posted that OSU's QB Troy Smith game was an anomaly and he got lucky against Michigan. So I jumped in and added that VY's game against Michigan was an anomaly. He's good, but never had a game like that. Needless to say, instead of staying on topic and talking about VY's games, or Troy Smith's games, or even OSU/Texas...it turned into an Aggy is dumb and is upset about scoreboard. He thinks his program is awesome and historic.

This is the only way to not get bashed on Hornfans:

1. Concede that Vince Young is the greatest football player in the universe. Ever.

2. Concede that Reggie is at best the 5th best QB in the Big 12 and should play WR.

3. Concede that A&M will never ever beat Texas ever again.

4. Concede that every time we did win, we cheated.

5. Concede that Texas will win the Rose Bowl this year.

6. Concede that A&M won't even be bowl eligible this year.

7. Concede that A&M losing to Baylor by 1 point in overtime for the first time since 1985 was no fluke, that Baylor is the better team.

8. Concede that we are not their rival, despite the fact that 90% of their threads mention us in some way.

9. Concede that Coach Fran is a bad coach and a bad person.

10. Concede that despite all the gay organizations at their school, that we are in fact the gay ones.

11. Concede that they are equal to Rice in academics and we are equal to Tech.

12. Concede that all Aggies are retarded and have sex with sheep.

13. Concede that Vince Young will win the Heisman this year.

14. Concede that losing two reserve players for legal problems this off-season will hurt the Aggies more than losing Benson and Johnson will hurt the Horns.

15. Concede that despite the scholarship offer and big recruiting battle, that they didn't want Martellus Bennett in the first place.

16. Concede that "The University of Texas" is the master and daddy of everything and bow down to them.

See? This is why I don't post there. I can't lie, therefore I can't follow these rules.

I don't post on Hornfans, but I do go visit from time to time, and what I find so ironic is that they say Ags are a cult, brainswashed, obsessed with tu, yada, yada, yada; however, when I go there, every other post is Aggy this Aggy that, it dominates the boards, talk about obsessed (sp?). Just makes me laugh, really :p

I can't anymore. Or reverse the UT. I told myself I wouldn't after giving blood in austin after bonfire fell. The line was 10 hours long and all UT students. It was really moving which is probably why I told one of my UT buddies I would always refer to them as UT and also not the above mentioned name either.

Actually, "sips" is short for "teasippers."

Back when our schools were young, A&M was the military school. Being a university student exempted you from the draft, so the military students called them teasippers to suggest that they were rich pansies.

Obviously that isn't relevant to anything today, but we still say it.

We actually started in Nov 2003, but our old board crashed in April 2004 and we had to re-start from scratch. We switched to Vbulletin (like this site) in May and love the setup of it.

You know I have never seen a sheep before in my life, at least not outside a car going at least 55. Maybe the guys down in Austin wear the sheep outfits to try and attract the few furries we have at A&M, who knows. The only thing I see is a guy looking stupid and not getting laid that night, furry or not.
