OK I'm tired of the fire fran talk, I'm tired of people saying baseball sucks on the world series thread, and now there is an NBA sucks on a simple celebration of the Rockets new signing. If y'all hate those sports so much why do waste so much time letting people know? No need to bring everyone else down all the time.

Some of us just like sports in general and will support a home team even if we may not like the sport or league. Please don't turn this into texags where everything sucks becasue you don't like it, I left that for a reason.

If T Mac stays healthy and Yao plays like he did at the end of the season, Houston will have a good shot to win the West. I have yet to see both these guys at the top of their game at the same time. I'm sick of them underachieving.

Wow, such a reaction for a simple joke. :P Guess I should have included a ;) on there instead of the :D , just so you knew it was a joke. I was just giving loftin a hard time. If I derailed the thread, I apologize.

How you got TexAgs cliff jumper Fran hater out of this, I'll never know, though.

Now, to get back on topic, I think the Rockets are going to have a really good year this year. The Midwest Division should be the best in the NBA this year, so they won't have it easy, for sure.

PVille's right about needing TMac and Yao healthy and consistant. Bonzi Wells and Shane Battier are two monster additions.

I still like the Mavs in the West, but that's probably mostly a homer pick.

I disagree. At halftime of game 3, it looked like the series was over and done with. After the Heat comeback, it looked to me like Dallas' psyche was completely shot. If they hang on to win that game, its Dallas in 4.

Mostly, I think pro sports smack talk is just silly, though. At least with college, you have some attachment other than living/growing up in a particular place.

I hope Battier works out with Houston. I was pretty pissed when they traded Rudy Gay to get him. Most people forget that at one point some thought he would be the #1 pick in the draft. Hopefully Houston knows something that I don't.
